Chrysler minivans still top sellers

Minivan sales in the United States grew by five per cent last month, slightly below the pace set by the category through the first three quarters of 2014, according to figures compiled by GoodCarBadCar.net.
The top two best-selling minivans, the Windsor -assembled Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, controlled 49.6 per cent of the segment through the first nine months of 2014; 56.2 per cent in September. Meanwhile, sales of the Kia Sedona slid seven per cent and the Mazda 5, soon to be killed off, was off last year’s slow pace.
Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna sales also fell last month. Year-to-date sales of the Town & Country and Grand Caravan are up 19.4 per cent and 13.7 per cent respectively. Toyota Sienna sales rose slightly by 0.6 per cent, while Honda Odyssey sales are down 3.1 per cent, year to date.
Chrysler hybrid minivan coming
