A small conference of independent accountants got a hunk of rock salt and a quick but revealing lecture on the benefits of doing business in Windsor and Essex County Friday at Caesars Windsor.

Former provincial cabinet minister Sandra Pupatello used an engaging mix of humour and a no-nonsense bottom line to tout the merits of expanding or relocating a business to this area.

Now CEO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation, Pupatello handed out rock salt courtesy of Windsor Salt to remind delegates “we’re salt of the earth here” and flipped through a visual presentation showing the low cost of doing business here compared to other Canadian centres such as Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary.
