The city’s business retention program could soon be reaping big benefits, with two companies poised to take advantage of millions in tax breaks to expand and bring new jobs to Windsor.
City staff is recommending council approve two tax grants — one for expansion of the Windsor Professional Centre and one for a new facility at the former Nemak site — worth a total of about $3 million.
“This program was set up for this specific purpose,” Mayor Eddie Francis said Friday. “It’s set up to attract jobs, to attract investment, to attract development in the city, and it’s working.” [Read More]
