The Wyandotte Town Centre Business Improvement Association now knows how it would like to see its streets transformed.

Landscape Architect for the City of Windsor Stefan Fediuk helped choose a winning streetscape design from six submitted to the BIA over the last five months. He says Architecttura Inc. included a number of important elements in its first-place plan. “Practicality, the linkages to the communities are doable. The essence of ‘world market’ is key. So, with all of the jurors, all nine of us, we had it as number one.”

A stand-out feature of the design is fabric which is expected to be woven like ribbon above Wyandotte St.

Wyandotte Town Centre BIA Executive Director Caroline Postma says the transformation should take place over the next five-to-ten years, however facade improvements will begin as soon as possible.
