Women in Mobility Detroit

As Women in Mobility Detroit focuses on creating an inclusive community here in Metro Detroit, we are also focusing on creating strategic partnerships that will help to grow the community beyond the Motor City and provide women with the support they need as they navigate the industry.

Today Women in Mobility Detroit announced a bi-national partnership that spans across the Detroit River and across the international border into Canada.

With the support of recent funding received by the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation from The U.S. Consulate General in Toronto, RISE Windsor-Essex and WEtech Alliance have joined forces with Women in Mobility Detroit to encourage more women to join this underrepresented sector.

This partnership between two countries, will encourage women working in automotive and mobility to extend their networks across borders in order to expand their expertise and understanding of the industry as they ascend to leadership positions—and ultimately changing the face of mobility entirely.
