Mexican engineering consulting company expands
Windsor-Essex, Ontario, Canada – Monday, July 6, 2020
Windsor-Essex is an advanced manufacturing powerhouse in Canada and companies in the manufacturing sector are in the process of adopting Industry 4.0 combined with Lean Manufacturing practice to achieve a new level of operational excellence.
The Eltromex Corporation (Eltromex), headquartered in Querétaro, Mexico, is establishing a Canadian Headquarters in Windsor, Ontario. Phase one of the corporation’s growth plan projects the hiring of 6-10 full-time technical experts and staff.
Eltromex is an engineering consulting services company that specializes in optimizing various advanced manufacturing process in automotive, and food processing, and agricultural sectors. Eltromex conducts assessment services during the early stages of product and process design using philosophies in “co-design” and “lean manufacturing”. The company also specializes in providing AWS and ISO certified welders for construction projects and supports training programs for certified welders locally.
Eltromex was first introduced to the Windsor-Essex region through a lead with the Ontario Investment Office. After an initial one day meeting with the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation (WE EDC) Investment Attraction Team, Eltromex’s leadership team of Oscar and Tomas Camarillo (father and son) returned to Windsor-Essex for a more comprehensive, week-long, visit. WE EDC introduced the duo to local post-secondary institutions and relevant faculty; local companies in the tool, die, and mold industry; and professional services that would assist the company to establish a Canadian business. A lunch meeting was also arranged with the Mexican Consulate in Leamington to discuss quality of life and cultural amenities in the region.
