The Windsor Star

In spite of the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on local business, Tourism Windsor Essex and Pelee Island have embarked on a number of initiatives to educate, inform and help businesses persevere.

The latest is a sign and social media campaign, known as YQG Stands Strong (#YQG Standsstrong), that has been launched and businesses throughout the region are being asked to place such signs in their windows.

The agency plans to maintain its initiatives until physical distancing measures expire.

TWEPI has initiated Take Out Tuesday (#TakeOutTuesday) to promote take out and food delivery food options.

They have also created Wine Order Wednesday (#WineOrderWednesday) which promotes delivery and pickup options for local wineries.

Similarly, Fill Up Friday (#FillUpFriday) is looking to boost delivery and takeout sales for local craft breweries.

TWEPI is also producing new online content and blogs such as ‘DYK About These DIY’s’ and ‘#YQGStandsstrong Bingo.’
