The Small Business Centre, a department of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation and in partnership with the Province of Ontario delivers the Summer Company Program to students across the Windsor-Essex region.  The Summer Company Program provides young people with the resources and knowledge they need to start a new summer business. The program offers full-time students, 15 to 29 years old an opportunity to explore entrepreneurship hands-on.

This year 13 participants from across the Windsor-Essex region were accepted into the program and includes a diverse group offering services and products, such as artist works, landscaping, summer programming camps, environmental products, shoe restoration and bow-and-arrow games.

Many of these entrepreneurs will be participating at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market to display and promote their business to the public.

The Summer Company entrepreneurs will be at the Windsor Farmers Market on Saturday, August 10th and Saturday, August 17th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  The Summer ompany businesses will be set-up under the Small Business Centre tent at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market on Pelissier Street.

The media’s support to help promote these young entrepreneurs and their businesses is greatly appreciated.
