The Windsor area has been chosen by Palette Inc. as one of two regions in Ontario to participate in a program to up-skill mid-career workers affected by downsizing and automation.
The pilot project will focus on workers in the advanced manufacturing, and information technology and communication sectors (ICT).
The non-profit organization has received a grant worth up to $5-million over three years from FedDev Ontario to run a program that is expected to fill 220 jobs and involve 100 companies in Windsor and Durham.
