Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signed Between Canada And India

Windsor-Essex, Ontario Canada – November 29, 2018 – On November 28, 2018 the Canadian Association of Mold Maker (CAMM) and WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation (WE EDC) signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) India and the Tools and Gauge Manufacturer’s Association of India (TAGMA). This is an effort by the Canadian Association of Mold Makers member companies Canada-wide and WE EDC to explore opportunities in the Indian market.

WE EDC and CAMM are proud to lead the signing of the MOUs that are the first of their kind between Canada and India to establish an institutional framework for member companies of leading industry associations in Canada and India to collaborate for opportunities in the Indian market and globally.  

Consul General for Canada in Mumbai, Ms. Annie Dubé, quotes: “The MoUs signed with EEPC India and TAGMA mark the first steps in a collaboration between Canada and India in technologies to be used in Industry of the future. Canada is well-placed internationally in terms of R&D in new emerging technologies such as Additive manufacturing, Advanced analytics, Big Data, Robotics & Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and Process Digitization across the business value chain.”

Jonathon Azzopardi, President, Canadian Association of Moldmakers (CAMM) said: "The signing of the MoU agreements between TAGMA, EEPC and CAMM is the first step to bringing two already successful industrial economies together to build partnerships focused on harnessing the strengths of our two industries to create a mould making super power on a global scale."
