October is recognized as Small Business Month and is a month dedicated to support and highlight the contributions small businesses make to our economy locally, provincially and nationally.
While everyday is small business day at the WindsorEssex Small Business Centre (SBC) it’s an opportunity to host a popular signature event “W.E. Shop Local Show” formerly known as Small Biz Expo now in its fourth year.
The W.E. Shop Local Show provides local small businesses exposure, an opportunity to sell their goods/services directly to the public. It connects Windsor-Essex residents with local and independent small businesses and responds to the public wanting to buy local products and services from the W-E region.
The W.E. Shop Local Show is a one-stop event and free for the public to shop local, network and to learn more about the SBC services. Over 50 local small business vendors are participating from food and beverage to housewares, art, wellness, fashion and more and all will surely make you want to shop local!
Based on last year’s overwhelming participation by the public, it is expected that this year over 500 people from the region will be attending.
