Windsor second best for job prospects and home prices

Windsor ranked as the second-best city in Canada if you’re looking to land a job and purchase a house for under $400,000, according to a report by the Huffington Post.

The online report ranked the centres on a combination of average price and the Bank of Montreal labour market report card.

Second only to Brantford, Windsor had a BMO rating of four and an average house price of $217,926.

Brantford had a No. 1 rating on job prospects in an area where new jobs grew at a rate of 10.3 per cent over the past year. The average home price there is $386,716.

Rounding out the top five were Ottawa with an average home price of $394,001, Montreal at $351,255 and Halifax at $274,142.

The Canadian Real Estate Association provided price comparisons.
