Windsor-Essex County, Ontario, - Monday, June 8, 2015 – The WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation is organizing a supplier information session that will describe potential opportunities for our local companies interested in  supplying, building, maintenance and operation of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge.  This information session is a means to bring in businesses to hear how they can participate. They will find out where and how they can fit in; the size and scope of the project; what to expect in the next few months and beyond.

Windsor-Essex companies will hear from the WDBA about workforce requirements, building phase project requirements; operational phase and project completion.
Sandra Pupatello, CEO WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation said, “This is the most important infrastructure project in the Country. While this large-scale project is open to the world for bidding, our companies have a unique opportunity to participate. The sooner we have details, the better our companies can prepare. We are delighted that the Hon. Minister Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport will join us as the key note speaker.   This supplier information session will be the beginning discussion of the role that our Windsor-Essex companies will play in the supply, the build, maintenance and operations of the new bridge.
