There are five Canada/U.S. surface crossings in Windsor-Essex with an additional sixth crossing, the Gordie Howe International Bridge to be completed by 2020. 
 
The Windsor/Detroit crossing is the busiest commercial Canada/U.S. border crossing, handling approximately 1/3 of all Canada/U.S. trade of over $325 million per day
