City of Windsor seeking volunteers for the 2014 Ontario Summer Games

The Ontario Summer Games are coming to Windsor in August and the city hall is looking for hundreds of volunteers to be acting ambassadors for the city.

Local company Green Shield has stepped forward with staff to volunteer for the duration of the games and Mayor Eddie Francis is hoping that other area businesses follow their lead.

The City of Windsor is looking to assemble a team of 750 volunteers, 14 years of age or older, to commit to 6-hour shifts during the games. Those interested in volunteering can visit the OSG websiteto register.

Also, the 6th annual "Wigglefest" on June 28 at the Riverside Sportsmen Club Tent will kick off a series of events leading up to the games themselves. The event will feature live entertainment from Bigg Wiggle and BBQ with all proceeds to benefit the Windsor 2014 Ontario Summer Games.
