Windsor-Essex County, Ontario - Thursday, May 22, 2014 – The WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation would like to extend congratulations to Henry Iacobelli, President, of Sun-Brite Foods Inc, Unico Inc. & Primo Foods Inc. on receiving the Italian Chamber of Commerce (ICCO) Ontario Business Excellence Award last evening in Toronto.
“It was heartening to see the Toronto business community fete’ one of our own from the Windsor-Essex business community. Henry was acknowledged for his many years of running a successful food processing business in Leamington.” said Sandra Pupatello, CEO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation.
Since 1973 Sun-Brite Foods Inc. has been providing consumers with high quality canned tomatoes, sauces, condiments, beans and pasta. Its brand names include Unico and Primo, with a significant client list. The state -of –the- art processing facility, is located in Ruthven, Ontario and is capable of producing 70,000 cases of tomato products a day. The product makes its way to stores from the Maritimes to Victoria Island. Sun-Brite has been awarded the coveted 'Campbell's Select Supplier' honour and the "1993 Supplier of the Year" by Little Caesars, as well as 'approved supplier' status from other leading processing and distribution institutions.
