A personal care manufacturing company is setting up shop in LaSalle.

At a press conference Friday, Sandra Pupatello, CEO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation announced that PAX-ALL Manufacturing Inc. will open business at 5000 Howard Business Pkwy, near Sixth Concession.

PAX-ALL manufactures beauty and cosmetic products that are sold in more than 50 countries. Under the label Aleeda, these products include lotions, shampoos and lipstick. It also packages products for other companies under separate brands.

“We are optimistic about our move to LaSalle because this location offers much greater access to the U.S. border, and we are excited to be part of the growing life sciences sector in the Windsor-Essex region,” says Juvenal Alvarez, president of PAX-ALL.

Alvarez says PAX-ALL carries an existing workforce of 15 employees, with the potential for that number to rise as high as 50 once in full production. For LaSalle Mayor Ken Antaya, the announcement means big thing for the town.

“We look forward to (the) company becoming part of our thriving community,” says Antaya.

PAX-ALL moves to LaSalle from the Toronto area.
