Manufacturing Day is October 4, 2013
WHAT IS IT?
Manufacturing Day gives an opportunity for all of our manufacturers - regardless of industry or sector you service (i.e. automotive, aerospace, medical, food, machinery, robotics, etc.) - to open their doors with open houses on a single scheduled day to help the public (including students, teachers, guidance counselors, parents, prospective employees and customers) gain a deeper understanding of the jobs available, the environment, the workplace and expectations in our local manufacturing sector.
Manufacturing Day is a US based effort based out of Washington with a web page (www.mfgday.com) featuring interactive maps showing visitors the location of open houses for tours and presentations by industry and promoting manufacturing to help communities and future generations thrive. Windsor Essex is the first Canadian jurisdiction to be involved and promoted through this effort. As a host site, your company will be promoted on the interactive map and counted among the 434 other manufacturing day events planned for 2013 http://www.mfgday.com/events
