Windsor-Essex businesses among fastest growing in Canada

Windsor-Essex is home to 10 of Canada’s fastest growing companies.
The annual PROFIT 500 report compiled by Canadian Business and PROFITguide.com ranks Canadian companies based on their five-year revenue growth.
Absolute Industrial Automation in Tecumseh, which designs and builds custom equipment for manufacturers, took the top spot locally at 54th.
According to data listed in the report, the company’s revenue grew by 1,463 per cent between 2010 and 2015.
Other area companies with exceptional revenue growth included on the list included: Jesse Garant Metrology Centre in Windsor, ranked 64th, while Brave Control Solutions in Windsor wound up 14oth with five-year revenue growth of 500 per cent.
Brave Control Solutions owner Brent McPhail said he was “extremely proud” of the company’s third consecutive year on the list.
“The Windsor region often gets a bad reputation in terms of employment and business opportunities,” he said. “We’re extremely fortunate and proud to be able to represent our region … and demonstrate the incredible amount of growth and potential that exists in our community.”
Radix Inc., based in Maidstone, ranked 144th. Company president Ross Rawlings said providing in-demand solutions helped his team earn their position.
“Radix is delighted to have achieved our position on this high growth list. Our outstanding Radix team deserves this unique recognition,” he said.
Lucas Works in Windsor ranked 298th, The Job Shoppe in Tecumseh was 305th and ProStaff Employment Solutions in Windsor finished at 334th. Cindy’s Home and Garden in Kingsville (394), Suntrition in Tecumseh (462) and Red Sun Farms from Kingsville (463) rounded out the local companies on the list.
