Wine tastings will be paired with stories and songs at the June 14 En Vino Novellus at the Pelee Island Winery. The free event with sample wine pairings starts at 7 p.m. and is presented by the Pelee Island Winery and the Essex Region Literary Network.

There will be readings by four authors. Leamington's Bill Sherk will read from Keep Up If You Can, confessions of a high school teacher.

Trevor Price will read from his detailed biography of Tecumseh.

Robert Lynch will have stories of the Windsor, Essex and Lakeshore Rapid Railway, an electric streetcar that ran through Essex County to Leamington.

Tom Omstead will read from his novel The Red Wing Sings, a thriller where a nuclear catastrophe parallels events from the War of 1812.

Original War of 1812 songs written by Peter Boyer and Dale Butler will be performed by Butler's Rangers.
