Recipients of the Harmony & Champion Awards Announced Today

Windsor, Ont. (02-11-2016) - The Multicultural Council of Windsor Essex County announced today that Marty Komsa is the recipient of the Harmony Award and Vince & Olivia Rosati are the recipients of the Champion Award. The awards will be presented at a gala event to be held on Thursday April 21st at 6:15 pm at the Ciociaro Club.
Harmony Award – Mr. Marty Komsa
Marty is the President and Chief Executive Officer of WFCU Credit Union. Marty has been instrumental in positioning WFCU as an innovative financial organization committed to making our community the best place to live and work. During his tenure, Marty has increased the organization’s managed assets making it the sixth largest credit union in Ontario. This success has positively impacted many not-for-profit organizations in our community and has contributed to being designated as a “Caring Company” by Imagine Canada. WFCU, through Marty’s leadership and vision has made Windsor – Essex a more welcoming community for all.
Champion Award – Mr. and Mrs. Vince & Olivia Rosati
Vince and Olivia are the founders of Rosati Construction. By the mid-70s the company branched into land development and leasing, general contracting, custom design and building work. Their successes led to the establishment of the Rosati Group. Vince and Olivia have never forgotten their roots and the many hardships they experienced as immigrants. Together with their sons, Tony and Nick, they have given back to the community through a combination of construction work, materials and cash donations. Vince & Olivia’s dedication, hard work and generosity have made a difference in the lives of many people in Windsor-Essex.
The Multicultural Council invites the community to join in celebrating the contributions and dedication of these outstanding award recipients at the Herb Gray Awards Gala on April 21st. Tickets are $90/person and corporate tables $1200. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
