Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is planning to hire additional workers for its Windsor Assembly Plant as it prepares to produce its next-generation minivan.
Dino Chiodo, president of Unifor Local 444, said the automaker posted job openings on its job Web site on Monday for assembly line workers, maintenance supervisor, material area supervisor, geometry part qualification engineer, part supply quality engineer and technical adviser.
The job openings were posted at www.fcagroupcareers.com.
The automaker plans to hire about 600 workers, according to the Windsor Star. Chiodo said he doesn't know how many additional workers the automaker plans to hire. A spokeswoman for the company confirmed that the company is hiring but declined to say how many jobs it plans to add.
