Sandra Pupatello resigns from WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation

Windsor-Essex County, Ontario, - Monday, July 6, 2015 - Martin Komsa, Chairperson of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation will make an important announcement at a Media Conference scheduled for 3:30 pm today.

Martin Komsa, Chairperson of Ec. Dev. states, “I deeply regret to announce that Sandra Pupatello, CEO of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation has advised the Board of Directors that she will be moving on from the position as the CEO of the Economic Development Corporation effective July 31, 2015 to pursue new endeavors.

We are truly disheartened with the news and this is certainly the last thing we wanted for the organization but it’s the best thing for Sandra so we will accept it, but with great reservations and disappointment. To have someone of Sandra’s caliber and economic development expertise leave us is not only a great loss to the organization but also to our region.

While Sandra has been approached repeatedly to do many things, she has always remained committed to Ec. Dev. and to the region. She feels however, the time has come to move on to pursue new endeavors and we respect her decision. The Ec. Dev. Board of Directors will be meeting to determine the short term and long term steps required and to plan for Sandra’s successor.”

The media are invited to attend a media conference taking place today, July 6th. at 3:30 pm in the Board Room of the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation at 700 California Avenue, Windsor, Ontario.
