Canadian Supplier Day with Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.

The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD), through its Embassy and Consulate Offices in Germany and the United States is working with APMA to produce a Canadian Supplier Day on November 5, 2013 in Chattanooga, TN at Volkswagen Group of America, Chattanooga Operations, LLC (VWGoA).
The theme of this event will be to promote growth of the VWGoA supply base within Canada and expansion in the Southeastern United States. Companies who are interested in becoming a Volkswagen supplier or who are in the process of launching or quoting new business are encouraged to attend the event.
Key facts about this opportunity:
- Companies may request a 30 minute one-on-one meeting time slot with a VW representative.
- VWGoA Purchasing is strongly interested in suppliers with existing or developing relationships within the VW Group.
- This opportunity is not limited to a specific commodity, however the focus will be on Tier I/II suppliers, and not on TDM suppliers.
- Technology suppliers are invited to apply to participate to learn more about VW, however they are not the primary focus.
Canadian companies are invited to submit their application with their best products, technologies, and innovations for review and consideration by VW Purchasing (Chattanooga). The deadline for submissions is September 23, 2013 - Close of Business. VW Purchasing will make final determinations regarding applicant selections. APMA will notify selected applicants with further details and information once attendee decisions have been made.

There is no cost to apply, but there is a fee for participation if you are selected. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.
Participant costs are as follows:
APMA Member: $ 175.00 per person plus 13% HST
Non-APMA Member: $ 275.00 per person plus 13% HST
